On October 7th I took my busy little Jaeger to work with me. Jay Dee and I were watching him play on the floor. He climbed up to a barstool and it fell over. This pict. is what happens when that happens. Sorry it's a little graphic. We took him to the emergency room, and they sent us to Nephi for surgery. The hand surgeon put his finger back together and told us it may take and it may not. He bandaged him up and said to take him home and not unwrap his hand for a month. What a crazy accident. I felt so bad, I watched the whole thing happen and never would have thought the barstool could have done that to a little finger. I think the whole thing was harder on me than it was him. I am such a baby. Jaeger was such a trooper! He cried in at the hospital until they numbed his finger and then he was so good until the IV. (that was no fun) After the surgery he was as good as new even smiling when we left the hospital.

2 weeks after surgery, Jaeger decided to put his hand (that wasn't suppose to get wet for a month) in the toilet. Anyway we had to take the cast off a couple of weeks early. Great News! The finger was healing well! I was surprised, because I thought it looked yucky. Everyday after that it just got better and better and pretty soon the black part just fell off. Jaemyn was tending and didn't even know.
This was the day the cast came off. Jaeger is still happy as ever and glad to have a great Dad to take care of him. I was so thankful for Jay Dee through this whole episode because I didn't even want to look at his finger.
This is Jaeger's finger exactly one month after the accident. Amazing he healed so fast and so well. We are counting our blessings and feeling blessed that this was as bad of an accident as we have had.
