We are on Monroe Mtn at Upper Box Creek. Jay Dee and the littles and I decided to spend the weekend relaxing and elk hunting. The bigs all had plans so the girls stayed with grandma Utley and Jerick went to Cedar for the weekend. We had a great time on the mountain, Jaeger loved throwing rocks in the water. This was a much needed break after a long ride. This was also the last "peace"of the weekend. We left the lake to head back to the cabin. Jindee had had enough of driving and was throwing a fit in the back seat. I had Jay stop so I could get her out of her carseat and put her on my lap. Well while I was getting her out...Bella must have jumped out as well. ..We had no idea and drove to the cabin. It was about an hour later that I realized we didn't have Bella. Jay had gone out hunting so I called him and we both headed back to where we got Jindee out of the back. We looked and called and no Bella. It was getting dark so we gave up. We went back Sunday and looked and looked. We finally had to just head home. I dreaded telling the bigs that I lost our Bella. They took the news pretty hard and it was a sad night at our house. Monday morning I woke up first thing and called the animal shelter...no news...I was so sad! About 1:00 the phone rang...Bella was safe and fine and in Roy, Utah. A hunter had picked her up about an hour an a half after we lost her not far from where we had left her. We have some great friends in Ogden who agreed to pick her up and meet us in Provo. Thanks so much Payton and Toby! It was Jericks birthday so he went with us and we had dinner at the Texas Road House and got his present...a t.v. Jerick I know you wanted your 17 B-day to be different but thanks for being a great sport and a great kid...I Love You!

We went up to the cabin Saturday night and stayed over and watched general conference. The mountain was absolutely beautiful. I love fall and I love the changing leaves. Conference was really good. It definetely made be want to try harder to be a better person. We had a great time just relaxing and being together. Jay Dee got some way cute pictures of the kids. Jacie was sick with a cold, so we didn't get any cute picts with her. Even though things aren't always perfect, I feel so blessed to have my amazing family and live in such a beautiful place.

This is Jaeger waiting for the doctor(second time today) the first time was because he is sick...this time he decided to ride his bike into the back of our Jeep. He really didn't even know he was hurt. His mouth was bleeding and it took a minute before we noticed the chin. We went right away to the e.r. It was crazy busy there. We had to wait for 2 hours to be seen. Jaeger was so good! The waiting room was like a daycare, and Jaeger had fun with all the kids. When it was finally our turn, the doctor said we could just glue it instead of stitches(great news) Jaeger didn't like that but did good considering. I love this little Guy so much...I don't think this will be our last e.r. visit with him he is such a goer.

We have lots and lots of blackberries this year. Jaeger loves to pick them. He gets his bowl and heads out to the blackberry bushes a couple of times a day. He only likes the really really ripe ones but he licks all of them. He has the cutest little voice and says berry so cute. For some reason he can't just say it once it's berry berry berry berry....I love this age!

Last Saturday we went to Virgin(a little town down by St. George) and bmx raced. We had a lot of fun. We left Jindee over night at Curtis and Merica's. This was her first sleep over. I think she did great! Thanks Merica for keeping her. Jaeger got to ride the track for his first time. He loved it! and was so cute! Amazing that he is only 19 months.....he looked more like a four year old on his bike. Jacie is getting really fast also. She is fun to watch and really enjoys riding. Jaemyn races, but doesn't really like racing the boys. We need to recruit some girls her age. Jay Dee and I both raced and had fun. Jerick stayed in Cedar to go on a date. He thinks girls are more important than bikes....crazy boy!

So that big black blob that Cooper and Jerick are sitting on is actually a project that took weeks to build...inside is cardboard rolled with lots of duct tape to keep it together....it was an assignment for their physics class...they actually floated it down the canal tonight....and it really floated! I think they kind of used this project to their advantage, but they did it! Thanks Mr. Rose!

Homecoming Dance

Jerick took Ditte who is a foreign exchange student from Denmark to Homecoming. They went 4wheeling to Hoover's for breakfast, and then played water games all day. For dinner we served them a cafe rio style meal at the Shavers. It was fun to help with dinner. I am so proud of Jerick, he is a great boy!

Labor Day Weekend 2011

We went to Sand Hollow to play for the weekend. Jordan and Melissa have a boat so they made our vacation. We had a lot of fun. The babies made the trip a little bit interesting. I didn't get any pictures of surfing, but we had way fun learning to do it. I am so glad we got to spend the weekend with family! Thanks everybody for the great time!l

I love summer nights! I am pretty sure Jaeger does too. He also loves, his new bike, hamburgers, and dad. Jaeger would live outside if I would let him. He is all boy and keeps us going. Jindee's Blessing Day

Jindee was blessed on May 1st 2011. Her dad gave her an amazing blessing. We have so many great friends and family. Thanks to everyone who came to support us. Jindee is such a neat little surprise to our home. She has a sweet spirit that has truly blessed her family. She is growing fast but still just over 8 lbs. on her blessing day. She slept all through the blessing and the meeting, and was happy as can be all day. I guess she couldn't have come to our family without a little (go with it). Jaeger is so cute with his sister, he gave her a big kiss when we put her in her blessing dress. When I look at our family picture, it seems unreal that all of "them" are mine. I am way blessed!

Sadie's November 12 2010

This was our first "High School Dance." The cheerleaders were in charge of Sadies so Jacie had to help. Since she is not sixteen yet and couldn't ask a date, she just dressed up as Sleeping Beauty(it was a disney theme) and went to help. She looked so cute, and had a lot of fun. Who doesn't have fun dressing up, when there is a formal involved. Ok ... I should say what girl doesn't like to dress up when there is a formal involved. Jerick got asked to Sadie's. This was his first date! Wow am I really that old. It seems like Jay Dee and I were just going to Sadies. I fixed dinner for Jerick and Kadee and their friends. I hope they had fun. Jaemyn and Jaeger had their own little date upstairs, it was so cute to see the two of them having fun together. I had told them they had to stay upstairs and not make to much noise. They were angels.

Be patient with me the last couple of years have been a roller coaster. I have not taken enough pictures and not blogged anything but I am determined to catch up with the pictures I do have. Nothing will be in any kind of order, but at least it will be here. I love to look back at my blog and have memories of our family. So even though this roller coaster might get faster and higher. I am really going do it! When Jaeger was born I couldn't believe how much he looked like Jerick. I thought it was amazing that they could be 15 years apart and still look alike. I thought these pictures of the two of them were cute!

Jaeger's Blessing Day!

We blessed Jaeger on April 11th. He was so cute and his Dad gave him a really special blessing. We had lots of family over for dinner afterwards. We have great family on both sides, and appreciate them always supporting our special days!

My sister McKenzie and I were due with Jaeger and Hayden just six weeks apart. It was fun to have babies together, I never would have guessed we would have babies at the same time, because I am so much older. Now I wouldn't change the way things worked out. Jaeger loved laying on Kenzie's tummy. I really don't think it was just because it was a cozy bed, I think he knew his little friend was inside. I'm sure these two will have lots of fun together and get into lots of trouble.

Jacie's Surgery

On February 26th 2010 Jacie had major knee surgery. She had dislocated her knee 6 or 7 times. It was so painful when she did it. I hated to see her have to go through that anymore. Her doctor that had done her first knee surgery sent us to University of Utah and we found a doctor who seemed to understand exactly what was going on. He said her problems were all linked to a birth defect in the way her knee cap set. During the surgery he cut her leg bone just under her knee moved and screwed it over so it would hold the knee cap in place. He then had to rebuild a ligament that had been destroyed because of all of the dislocations. So he took a hamstring from the back of her leg and rebuilt the ligament. I think it is neat that there are people smart enough to do things like this. Jacie did great with surgery. It wasn't easy, but now other than the screws hurting sometimes and the scars, she is a new girl. It is geat to see her be her and have fun and not worry about her knee.(as much) This was also a way crazy time for me. Jaeger was not even a month old when Jacie had surgery. I never would have dreamed how hard a new baby and a knee surgery could be all at once. I remember for about a week not knowing the difference between night and day. With Jacie needing her ice pack changed and meds every couple of hours, and the baby needing feeding and changing every couple of hours, I never slept. It was hard and crazy but I love being a mom and love my kids. I am grateful I was able to take care of them!

Jay Dee's Elk Hunt

THIS YEARS ELK HUNT WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN ALL THE OTHERS I HAVE EVER HAD. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO DRAW A MONROE MTN BIG BULL ARCHERY TAG. AFTER WE DREW THE TAG WE STARTED TO REALIZE , THIS MIGHT BE A BAD YEAR FOR US, NEW BABY, NEW STORE ETC.. BUT WE KEPT THE TAG AND WENT HUNTING THINKING THIS WOULD BE ONE OF THE LAST YEARS THAT THE HUNT WILL STILL BE GOOD . WE HAD LOTS OF FUN ON THE MOUNTAIN AT THE CABIN, AND HUNTING. WE ENDED UP FINDING SOME ELK ON THE PRIVATE PART OF MONROE MTN.. ME AND DAD WENT ON A HIKE AND ENDED UP FINDING A GOOD BULL, TOOK A SHOT AT HIM JUST BEFORE DARK. I WENT BACK IN THE NEXT MORNING TO MAKE SURE I HAD NOT HIT HIM, AND SURE ENOUGH..... I HAD NOT. HE WAS STILL IN THE MEADOW THAT I HAD SHOT AT HIM AND STILL HAD THE SIX OR EIGHT COWS ALL AROUND HIM. I GOT WORKED AS CLOSE AS I COULD AND STARTED COW CALLING, HE STARTED WORKING MY WAY BUT THE RANGE FINDER TOLD ME HE WAS STILL WAY TO FAR(ABOUT 150 YARDS). AFTER ABOUT 20 MIN OF CALLING I CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF SOMETHING MOVING ABOUT 20 YARDS TO THE LEFT OF ME. I SAW THAT IT WAS A SIX POINT AND I DREW MY BOW, WHEN HE CLEARED THE EDGE OF THE TREES I LET HER RIP. IT WAS KINDA AMAZING WHEN THE ARROW WENT EXACTLY WHERE IT WAS AIMED. HE RAN ABOUT 20 YARDS STOPPED AND FELL OVER DEAD. (THE LAST PICTURE IS WHERE HE DIED) IT WAS A FUN HUNT. I LEARNED ALLOT ON THIS HUNT ABOUT WHAT I THINK HUNTING IS ABOUT. ITS NOT ABOUT THE SCORE, THE KILL, AND THE ANIMAL TO ME. I WOULD NOT TRADE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KILL A BEAUTIFUL BULL LIKE THIS AGAIN, FOR THE HUNT THAT I HAD LAST YEAR WHEN ME AND JERICK BOTH KILLED SPIKE ELK THE SAME NIGHT IN THE SAME FLAT, PACKING TWO SPIKE ELK OUT, AND THE COYOTES HOWLING SO CLOSE THAT IT MAKES THE HAIR ON THE BACK OF YOUR NECK STAND UP!!! BEING TOGETHER, ENJOYING THE TIME THAT I SPEND WITH MY FAMILY, IS WHAT MATTERS. LEARNING TO ENJOY THE SMALL THINGS, LIKE THE DAY BEFORE I KILLED WHEN ME AND MY DAD WERE IN THE FLAT WATCHING THE SQUIRREL THROW THE PINE CONES OUT OF THE TREE, THE SUNSET BLEEDING THROUGH THE SMOKE OF THE CLEAR CREEK FIRE, THE SOUND OF AN EAGLE SCREAM IN THE DISTANCE. THIS HUNT HAS MADE ME LOOK AT THE THINGS I DO A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY. I AM VERY THANKFUL THAT I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO DRAW THIS TAG, THE MAGNIFICENT ANIMAL I WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO HARVEST, AND THE HUNT THAT WILL CHANGE THE WAY I HUNT FOREVER!!

Sevier Valley Outdoors!

The last time I wrote anything about work, I think Jay Dee was trying the mortgage mitagation thing and I had just started daycare. Thank heavens that part of our lives did not last very long. We decided to open a store! From the day I met Jay Dee he always had talked about having his own store. It is funny how situations forced us to do something that deep down he always wanted. We had an amazing opputunity to open up in the front of Sevier Valley Glass. The Anderson's are great people and we appreciate them so much. We also have great family who have been supportive and helped whenever and wherever they can. Opening a store is kind of a scary and crazy thing to do. Jay Dee puts in lots and lots of hours! We opened for business August 1 2009. We have worked way hard, but feel really blessed to still be open and doing well for just over a year in business.

We finally did it! We have been going to take pictures of the kids ever since Jaeger was born. I really wanted to do them somewhere fun, but I guess the front yard works better than nothing. Jay Dee did a good job. I think they all turned out way cute!

Jaeger's Accident!

On October 7th I took my busy little Jaeger to work with me. Jay Dee and I were watching him play on the floor. He climbed up to a barstool and it fell over. This pict. is what happens when that happens. Sorry it's a little graphic. We took him to the emergency room, and they sent us to Nephi for surgery. The hand surgeon put his finger back together and told us it may take and it may not. He bandaged him up and said to take him home and not unwrap his hand for a month. What a crazy accident. I felt so bad, I watched the whole thing happen and never would have thought the barstool could have done that to a little finger. I think the whole thing was harder on me than it was him. I am such a baby. Jaeger was such a trooper! He cried in at the hospital until they numbed his finger and then he was so good until the IV. (that was no fun) After the surgery he was as good as new even smiling when we left the hospital.

2 weeks after surgery, Jaeger decided to put his hand (that wasn't suppose to get wet for a month) in the toilet. Anyway we had to take the cast off a couple of weeks early. Great News! The finger was healing well! I was surprised, because I thought it looked yucky. Everyday after that it just got better and better and pretty soon the black part just fell off. Jaemyn was tending and didn't even know.

This was the day the cast came off. Jaeger is still happy as ever and glad to have a great Dad to take care of him. I was so thankful for Jay Dee through this whole episode because I didn't even want to look at his finger.

This is Jaeger's finger exactly one month after the accident. Amazing he healed so fast and so well. We are counting our blessings and feeling blessed that this was as bad of an accident as we have had.

This morning both Jerick and Jacie left bright and early to go to South Sevier's last Football game of the year in Pleasant Grove. Jacie is a cheerleader this year. I never would have never dreamed. All those years of sports, and she decided to be a cheerleader. But.......she is such a cute cheerleader! She is doing great and enjoying it. Six o'clock every morning. She really must love it. Jaeger's Birth Story

Today is November 4th 2010. Jaeger turned 9 months old yesterday. I know I am a little late, but better late than never. Jaeger was pretty determined not to come until he was good and ready. Jay Dee and I(mostly I) had been trying to have another baby since Jaemyn was about 4. For some reason it just didn't happen. Finally after 5 years and 3 miscarriages I decided enough was enough and I would be way happy with the three children I had been given. I guess that is all it took because it was the month after my decision that we were expecting again. I had a great doctor with Jaeger. He took every possible precaution and every thing went well. Being pregnant at 36 was a lot different than being pregnant at 27. It was pretty hard on me and I was so anxious the days seemed to stand still. Jerick had basketball games back to back in Moab and San Juan the last weekend in January. My due date was not until February 23 so I went on that long drive to watch Jerick play. I am so glad I did. It was a lot of fun to watch him even though I was miserable. On the drive home I started having some pretty good contractions and my ankles didn't look like ankles anymore. That was the start of a long few days of starting labor. I went to Cedar City to the hospital the next day. They kept me there overnight and then sent me home because it wasn't quite time. Home isn't exactly the place. Dr. Heath thought I would be better to stay in Cedar City and not drive home to Richfield. This was so hard, I wanted to be with my family, but I knew I better stay. I got to hang-out with all my Cedar family for the next 2 days. When I went to bed Tuesday night I didn't feel quite right but I had felt that way for 3 days. I was frusterated and ready to go home. I woke up at 2 and was having even harder contractions. I could not sleep so I got up and did some laundry at Kenzie's and tried not to wake her family up. I soon realized my water had broke and the pains were getting worse. I really didn't want to wake McKenzie up but I did sometime in the early morning. I really dont remember much else but pain after that. I am a big baby I guess but it really hurt. It felt like it took an eternity to get to the hospital and get my epidural. About the same time the epidural kicked in, Jay Dee and Jacie walked in the hospital room. I had completely forgot to call them I was hurting so bad. Good thing McKenzie was there. It was just a few minutes after that the doctor said I was ready to push and we would have a baby before breakfast. I was so excited to get him, or her? here. We didn't find out what Jaeger was, but I think deep down I always knew. Pushing took a little longer than planned. We pushed for an hour and then took a break and started pitocin for an hour. Then we pushed for another hour, and finally at 11 we had a little baby in our arms. It was such an amazing time, I know Jaeger really came from heaven. You could feel it! It was crazy how fast the miserable pregnancy and the pain of labor was all worth it. Jaeger I love you! You are so special to me and such a blessing.

Jaeger Dee Nielson born February 3, 2010 in the Valley View Hospital in Cedar City Utah.Born at 11:oo a.m. weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and 20 inches long. Delivered by Dr. Heath.

This was the first time I had had a baby without knowing a name before it was born. Talk about stress for me. We wrote and re-wrote and narrowed down, and still didn't decide until we had to in order to take our baby home. I was out voted. I wanted Jess Michael, but now I love Jaeger!

Because of the Swine Flu and other sicknesses this is how my big sister Jaemyn and most of my visitors had to meet me. The hospital would only allow kids 14 and up and only 4 visitors in the room. It was kindof sad. I definitely am loved!

It is still hard for me to believe that all of these monsters are mine. Halloween was a little different this year. Jerick and Jacie have passed the dress-up and go trick or treating phase, and Jaeger really didn't care, so Jaemyn was my only enthusiast. She looked cute and I hope had fun trick-or-treating with me and dad. Here are a few more picts from the day.

I really am going to start blogging again. After computer problems and life problems, I think I am ready to go for it again. Since the last time I blogged, which was November 11th, life has been turned upside down a few times. We had a fun Thanksgiving, Jaemyn was baptized, that was really special. I was so proud of her for her decision. We also had a great Christmas. We went to Elk Meadows and stayed in a condo. It was fun to have some time for just our family. It snowed and snowed and was so pretty. The first of January Jay Dee lost his job and that has brought about some interesting changes in our lives. We have enjoyed the time we have got to spend with him. We have been sledding and we went to Wyoming for a few days, it has been great to have Dad around, but not having work has also created a few problems(wouldn't it be great if money grew on trees) I have had to start a daycare at my house to help. This has been an adventure. Jerick and Jacie have both been playing on All-star basketball teams, so a lot of our time has been spent doing that. So in a nutshell there is the last 5 months and I will do better from now on.

Jerick had a basketball tournament in Panguitch. It turned out that at the last minute Melissa and Jordan got rooms at Ruby's Inn and the whole fam came to the tournament and on a little vacation. It was a lot of fun. Jerick sprained his ankle pretty bad during the first game. I think it may have been a good thing. He played really well. His team took first in the tournament, and at the end he was one of the tournament all-stars. It was really fun to watch him play and fun to have all the family there. In between games we took the kids and went to a wildlife museum.

We have had a lot of fun watching Jerick play basketball. He has improved so much the last couple of years. His team has done so well. They have not lost a game for the last two years. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, because they think they are "all that" and so do I.

Dan and Lana Cranney have a house in Afton, Wyoming. They invited us to go with them for President's Day weekend. We had a blast, there was so much snow, and it was beautiful. We snowmobiled, and sledded, and played hard. We snowmobiled into a hot springs, when we left the house that morning it was negative 12 degrees, I was not sure I wanted to even take my swimming suit, I thought it would be crazy to put on a swimming suit when it was negative 12 degrees. When we got to the hot springs, I got brave, and we had a blast. It was soooo warm and so pretty. We had a lot of fun. It was definetey one of our favorite vacations. Thanks! Cranney Family!

Sledding again, this time wasn't quite as perfect, we had to go to the Thompson Basin hill to find good snow. It was still fun Braylee, Kenzie, and Steve came with. I have always dreaded the winter, but this year we have had a lot of fun.

So I have always known I love where I live, but this winter it got even better. The snow was perfect for sledding down the hill right above town. It is the hill I walk up all summer, and now we used it all winter too. We had a blast, we went so fast we probably needed helmets. Bella had fun chasing the sleds, but she couldn't keep up no matter how she tried.
